About Heni

Heni is a Hungarian artist, but currently resides in France. Her artistic career began at a very young age. Back then, the concept of art therapy wasn’t as widely known, but if we look at it that way, she applied it to herself to ease the sometimes challenging school years. Although her path wasn’t necessarily obvious due to her wide range of interests, she ultimately became a fashion designer, studying textile design at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.

Fashion, style, materials, grids, surface treatments, textures, eco-consciousness, a minimalist approach, and the fusion of traditional techniques with modern perspectives have remained the focus of her work ever since. This is reflected in her paintings and illustrations today.

From Hungary to France, Heni’s art has always been her way of turning life’s little challenges into colorful creations—because why just survive school when you can turn it into an art therapy masterpiece?

Inspired by life

Graduating from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design with a degree in fashion design, her artistic journey reflects her dedication to exploring various facets of creativity.

She’s somewhat of an explorer type.

Her sources of inspiration are inexhaustible. Often, she simply sits in front of a blank canvas and decides intuitively on the next project. However, a new pencil, a richly pigmented paint, a sketchbook, music, an experience, or an important conversation can also have such an impact on her that it sparks a creative process – one that is not always simple – and which, ultimately, she hopes people can connect with.

And when nobody’s watching, she dances a bit to refresh herself, or sips on a green tea while studying some astrology.

One of her notable characteristics is her hypersensitivity, which adds deeper emotion and perception to her works. The ability to communicate complex thoughts and emotions through art may allow you to interpret and relate to the works in your own way.”
